total time
30 minutes (excluding marination)

  • A sharp knife

  • Cutting board

  • A mixing bowl

  • A frying pan or wok

  • A spatula

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • Salt to taste

Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, chili sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Marinate the chicken in this mixture for 30 minutes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the chicken to the pan and cook until it’s golden brown.

Add the red bell peppers and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Once the chicken is cooked through, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Serve hot with your choice of side.

Using the right techniques is key to achieving the perfect dish. First, I recommend marinating the chicken in the soy sauce, chili sauce, and honey for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld. Also, cooking the chicken over medium heat ensures it stays juicy. Don’t forget to add the garlic and ginger at the right moment, so they don’t burn but release their flavors. Lastly, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds for a fresh twist.
