Equipment

  • Oven

  • Mixing bowl

  • Sharp knife

  • Toothpicks

  • Frying pan

  • Baking dish

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup of fresh spinach, chopped

  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: garlic, herbs for extra flavor

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.

3

In a bowl, mix together the chopped spinach, cream cheese, and Parmesan. Add salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or garlic if using.

4

Cut a slit into the side of each chicken breast to create a pocket. Be careful not to cut all the way through.

5

Stuff the pockets with the spinach and cheese mixture and secure with toothpicks.

6

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on each side.

7

Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

8

Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure to pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. This ensures that they cook evenly and stay juicy. Use fresh spinach instead of frozen for a better texture and flavor. Mix in some garlic or herbs like basil with the cheese for an added depth of flavor. Secure the stuffed chicken with toothpicks to ensure that the filling stays inside while baking.
