  • A large pot for steaming cauliflower

  • A saucepan

  • A baking dish

  • A cheese grater

  • A knife and chopping board


  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup of Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup of heavy cream

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: Bread crumbs for topping



Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).


Steam the cauliflower florets until they are just tender, about 5-7 minutes.


In a saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream with the minced garlic, salt, and pepper.


Once hot, remove from the heat and mix in the cheddar cheese and half of the Parmesan until smooth.


Place the cauliflower in a baking dish, pour the cheese sauce over it, and mix gently.


Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan and breadcrumbs (if using) on top.


Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden.


Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.


Using fresh cauliflower is key. However, if you use frozen, make sure to drain the excess water. Grate your cheese rather than using pre-shredded, as this melts better. Fresh garlic and parsley elevate the flavors. For an extra crunch, you could add a layer of breadcrumbs on top before baking.
