  • Food Processor or Blender

  • Mixing Bowl

  • Spatula

  • Brownie Pan

  • Oven

  • Toothpick for testing


  • 1 cup black beans (cooked and drained)

  • 2 scoops of your favorite protein powder

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • A pinch of salt

  • Optional: Nuts, dark chocolate chips



Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a brownie pan.


In a food processor, blend the black beans until smooth.


Add cocoa powder, protein powder, coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until well combined.


Optionally, stir in nuts or chocolate chips.


Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top.


Bake for 15-18 minutes. Check with a toothpick; it should come out mostly clean.


Let them cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
