  • A large skillet or wok

  • A sharp knife for cutting vegetables and chicken

  • A spatula or pair of tongs for stirring

  • Measuring spoons and cups

  • A pot for cooking rice


  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 cups of cooked brown rice

  • 2 cups of mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)

  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, grated

  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, sriracha



Start by marinating the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes.


While the chicken is marinating, cook your brown rice according to the package instructions.


In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over high heat.
