  • a good quality frying pan

  • a sharp knife

  • a wooden spatula

  • A pair of tongs

  • a whisk

  • 2 thick cut fillet steaks

  • 200g fresh mixed mushrooms (button, chestnut, oyster)

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 50g unsalted butter

  • 100ml heavy cream

  • A handful of fresh thyme leaves

  • Salt and pepper to taste
