This recipe is suitable for most people. It’s perfect for individuals focusing on a high-protein, low-carb diet. Equipment

  • a frying pan

  • a large salad bowl

  • a small bowl for the dressing,

  • a whisk, a knife

  • a cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 cups of mixed greens

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely sliced

  • For the dressing: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 clove garlic, minced, salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1

Season your shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat a pan over medium heat, add a bit of oil, then cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes each side, until they turn pink. Allow them to cool.

2

As the shrimp cools, prepare your salad. Toss together the mixed greens, avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion in a large bowl.

3

To make the dressing, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl.

4

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to ensure all ingredients are coated.

5

Finally, add the cooled shrimp to the salad and give it one more gentle toss.

Notes

In the kitchen, tips can often be the difference between good and great. For this recipe, remember to pat the shrimp dry before cooking to ensure a good sear. When it comes to salad, freshness is key, so make sure your vegetables are vibrant and crisp. For the dressing, whisk together the ingredients until emulsified for a creamy, flavorful dressing. Don’t be afraid to adjust the dressing ingredients to suit your taste.
